The Furniture Ombudsman - Code of Practice

Supporters of The Furniture Ombudsman subscribe to the Code of Practice for the furniture industry, which is underpinned by an independent dispute resolution service. This process offers peace of mind for customers, brings intractable disputes to a conclusion and is more cost effective than the court process.

The Furniture Ombudsman is a non–government funded organisation supported by members from all sectors of the furniture industry. Independence and impartiality are its cornerstones, ensuring that better standards of service are promoted and consumers can buy with confidence

Dispute Resolution

Dispute resolution is achieved through the adjudication service that is exclusive to The Furniture Ombudsman. The organisation is backed by a range of information and support services, all aimed at reducing the level of complaints and improving supporters’ reputation with customers.
