When purchasing from a registered member of The Furniture Ombudsman, the consumer benefits from additional assurances over service and excellence which reach further than their basic legal rights.
Full Members agree to follow the Ombudsman’s Code of Practice which provides the consumer with a formal procedure which they can follow in the event of a dispute arising.
The Ombudsman’s professionally qualified team endeavour to resolve disputes through a process of conciliation and adjudication. All of the Ombudsman’s adjudication awards are binding on the retailer – but not the consumer. Click here for a full list of Full TFO Members.
The Furniture Ombudsman provides its Associate Members with a Customer Charter which sets out to promote high standards and encourage good relations between them and their consumers. As part of their pledge to abide by the ethics of the Customer Charter, Associate Members also agree to support the overall aims and objectives of The Furniture Ombudsman in raising standards and acts as a public declaration of their commitment to quality and customer service.
