Prepared for cases of high value where litigation is envisaged or has commenced, The Furniture Ombudsman commissions from a pool of in-house specialists from the Furniture Industry Research Association who are acknowledged industry experts in materials and finishing technologies.

FIRA experts specialise in the preparation of detailed reports on furniture, furniture materials and fitted furniture installations. Where possible the expert will also endeavour to provide estimates of likely and reasonable costs relating to actions required to rectify a dispute and appear in court as required. Each expert is versed in the applicable CPR in respect of expert witnesses and will consult on a jointly appointed basis if required.
