What is The Furniture Ombudsman?

We are an independent organisation which specialises in providing Alternative Dispute Resolution services for consumers and retailers in the furniture, home improvement and floor coverings industries.

To help preserve our independent status, our work as an Ombudsman is regulated by a Standards Board. We also hold membership of the Trading Standards Institute, and are recognised by the European Commission.
Through our Code of Practice, Full Members of The Furniture Ombudsman make an additional commitment to their consumers. This allows us to ensure that everyone gets a fair deal in the event of a dispute.
